So with all of this talk of health care and getting covered, we don't always think about those that can't speak for themselves, our pets.
My dog, that I love, his name is Hoss, he has cancer.
Hoss is more than 12 years old and the Vet told us anything over 10 years of joy is a blessing.
We don't always think about our animals getting such human diseases, like Cancer, but they do. And dealing with the hurt of seeing your pet in pain takes everything out of an animal lover. When we got the Vet bill it sucked everything out of my bank account...and then there were the prescriptions.
Our vet told us to go to Target for really inexpensive pet prescriptions.
I didn't even know that animals could get prescriptions filled anywhere but the Vet and I walked out of my pet hospital feeling very empowered with this new information. Especially since Hoss' care had been nothing short of a mint.
Target is my "go to" store for everything, beauty, food and my prescriptions. Fortunately, I don't have any prescriptions but my dog does and they are expensive, fortunately they are not expensive at Target.
The vet bills are high enough, with no animal coverage what are we supposed to do about our animals prescriptions?...roll over to Target.
I was crying and trying to understand all of the medications when the pharmacist just smiled and told me to fill out this form. She was kind, gentle and shared other ways for us to make him comfortable as we were giving him pain relievers and hospice care.
Being at the pharmacy was easy and in no time I was receiving a text message that Hoss' medication was ready.
When you are stressing about a family members illness, you do not want to have to worry about complex forms, price or sitting at the pharmacy for an hour.
I was so grateful that my usual beauty and food spot was now where I was picking up pet medicine and on the frugal side! Check out Target's pharmacy.
Where do you get your pet medication from?
