Its February! Black History Month!
And of course we know that Black History everything is going to be all over the place. We will be talking, celebrating and loving our Black history and culture even more. There will be specials and parades...all of the good stuff!
I talk about Black Girls at ClasyBlackGirl.com all year long, but this month I am working on a special set of articles that I am so excited about entitled, #MakingBlackGirlHistoryNOW.
Black History Month makes Black people and the American nation turn inward and learn more about what has happened in the past, learn from it and move to greater heights. Every year I learn so much more than I ever rememeberd as a child in school and it means so much more to me now than when I was younger.
What about Black Girls Making History Now?
There are Black Girls who are Making Black Girl History NOW! I want to share those stories in my usual Black Girl Talk fashion. These posts are also focused on Women and our special contribution to Black History.
I will be using the hashtag in all of those relevant posts and I will be talking about those Black Girls who are #MakingBlackGirlHistoryNOW, from Vera Moore to Kerry Washington and Beyonce as well as movers and shakers in politics, behind the scenes in media and education.
You can expect video, photos and articles while I highlight Black Women who are making a difference and giving our world something to study 100 years from now!
I have yet to complete writing the entire series so please let me know who you would like to see us chat about as we are RIGHT now making Black Girl History! The women and girls that I write about do not have to be famous or wealthy or even a celebrity, they just have to be making a difference and of course they have to be #MakingBlackGirlHistoryNOW!
Be sure that you are following the conversation on Twitter using the hashtag #MakingBlackGirlHistory and be sure and hit me up @ClassySharelle
