Macy's Culinary Council with Nespresso!
In the San Francisco Bay Area the buzz surrounding the 34th America's Cup is Epic!
The official coffee sponsor of the America's Cup joined forces with Macy's Culinary Council Chef's Marc Forgione and Michelle Berstein. They shared two of their several chic coffee inspired recipes that they created especially for the Nespresso's Grand Chef Rendezvous at the Ferry Building!
The crowd was excited and the Culinary Council Kitchen at Macy's was packed with Foodies, Food Critics, Media and your Classy, BlackGirl getting one on one executive Chef training.
Amazing spices like Juniper were passed around to test and taste. Marc Forgione shred with us the preparation process of Alex's Swordfish, Fennel Kraut, Grain Mustard, Nespresso, Wild Juniper Smoke. The fennel was delicious, punchy and flavorful!
Chef Michelle Berstein kept us laughing while salivating over her Chocolate Cremeux with Cherry-Pedro Ximenez-Nespresso Sauce, TCHO Cocoa Nib Streusel, Whipped Crème Fraiche. This sweet treat was extra rich! And let me tell you, there was a sweet and savory aspect to this dish...and yes there was bacon! The smell of this desert alone was decadent and the taste was heavenly. Chef Michelle kept us laughing with quotes like "Bacon and chocolate are friends!" After tasting her dessert I would certainly agree.
Nespresso and Macy's also gave away 6 amazing gifts ranging from Chef autographed aprons to full on Nespresso machines. While I did not win one, I am now determined to pick up one for myself. These machines make quick, fabulous and fierce cups of coffee all on your own countertop!
