“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Millennial Central for Kirin. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”
I dig beer, it is oftentimes the perfect addition to a delicious meal. I just had the awesome opportunity to taste Kirin Ichiban some of the sexiest beer that I have ever had! I was even inspired to create an Asian-themed meal around it!
So I grabbed some items that I knew that I would be able to prepare easily in my Wok and I went to town!
First I prepared a sweet and punchy beef and pepper dish that was the perfect way to enter into ANY meal.
Punchy Beef and Pepper Dish
Ingredients 1 lb of beef 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil 1/4 cup of Terriyaki Sauce 2 Tablespoons of Sesame Seeds 1 Large Green Bell Pepper 1/2 Yellow Onion 1 Clove of Garlic
Instructions 1. Heat Olive Oil in a Pan or Wok. 2. Add Onions and Beef when the pan is hot, cook for 8-15 minutes, to taste. 3. Add the Terriyaki Sauce, Bell Peppers and Garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes. 4. This dish is ready to serve and is best with the Kirin regular!
Then I created a spicy noodle and cayenne chicken dish that lit our mouths on fire! It wasn't long before the food and the beer was long gone!
I found that Kirin beer was clean and crisp and everybody was talking about how this was the best beer that they had ever had!
Spicy Asian Chicken
Ingredients 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil 4 Large chicken breasts 4 Tablespoons of Cayenne pepper 2 Tablespoons of Ground Ginger(you can also use fresh) 1 small onion 1 clove of garlic 1 8 oz package of noodles
Instructions 1. Add the Olive Oil to a pot and let it heat up! 2. Add the onions, pepper and ginger. 3. When the mixture sears together turn it down and add the four pieces of chicken and cover for 15-20 minutes until it is well done. 4. You may need to continually add water (and a little extra cayenne to keep the taste fiery!). 5. When the chicken is done remove it from the sauce, add the garlic and the package of noodles. 6. Cover the noodles and cook on simmer, the noodles cook fast. 7. Cut up the chicken into bite sized morsels. 8. When the noodles are ready pour the noodles into a pan-like serving dish, place the cut up chicken over the top and your Spicy Asian Chicken is ready to serve!
With beer I like one where the bite is strong, but pleasant! Kirin made my food positively sing and I was drinking the Kirin Light so I didn't even worry about the calories! I am glad that I can grab some at the local specialty store in my neighborhood! I would also like to taste this beer with Latin foods as well.
I hope that you enjoyed my recipes, and if you are looking for more great recipes throughout the year, Kirin will be providing them on their Facebook page! Make sure that you go and like them so that you do not miss one delicious recipe from Celebrity Chef Candace Kumai who is partnering with Kirin Ichiban and will be providing appealing to your eastern-inspired palate while you are enjoying a Kirin full-bodied beer!
