I Heart This Handcraft Wines Cab!
I am a red wine girl. I just am! So it's not easy to impress me when it comes to red wine. HandCraft wines have fully impressed me with their 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon. I opened it and let it breathe for 3 hours before having a sip over a delicious Mexican dinner with heavy sauces.
What I thought about this HandCraft Wines Cab
The Scent: This 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon has a very fruity and sweetly strong smell. I always smell my wine first because its part of the drinking experience, like eating good food! When food smells good, this is a good indication that it tastes good-I would say the same for wine. Plus smelling the wine puts me in that tasting mind frame.
The Color: This Cab has a lovely, dark red, berry hue. It's almost pretty.
The Taste: This Cabernet Sauvignon has a robust, rich and flowery intoxicating taste. This wine shot to the top of my Favorites List!
My Personal Wine Thoughts on Taste
The taste is quite frankly the MOST IMPORTANT part of a wine for me. When tasting a wine it does more than just hitting the tongue. It's the full party in your mouth experience: mouth, lips, tongue, throat. The wine tastes and feels differently on all of these places in your mouth.
I also love that HandCraft wines is Chick Run! Cheryl Indelicato is the Proprietor of HandCraft and vet winemaker Alicia Ysais are a power girl team that produces some of the most amazing wine out of the Valley. By the way, the pricing on this bottle is stellar at about 9 bucks-but it tastes like it should easily cost twenty dollars more.
