This fourth of July I decided that I wanted to celebrate. Get from behind the laptop and learn how to grill with some beefy fresh finds!! I wanted to learn how to build a better burger. I can get my cook on, but when it comes to grilling, that's my weak spot and I have always felt like grilling makes for the best burgers.
I traveled to my local grocery store, Lucky Super Market. They will have a "build a better burger" challenge starting on July 31st I'm going to cop items like tomatoes, onions, buns and of course beef. I wanted to get a jump start on building. I was like a kid in a candy store and I filled up my shopping cart. But the most important score was the beef. I get my cooking recipes and photos from the Lucky's Fab Pinterest Board!
Good fixin's are also really important to building a better burger. So I made sure that I had red onions, fresh buns, grated cheese and all of the condiments.

My niece and I seasoned up the burgers and took them out to my Mother, who was giving me and my little sister a grilling lesson. We learned that women can grill too-and grill very well. We even got those amazing grill lines in the burgers.
I also worked on my secret to success in building a better burger - fried onion rings. They are killer on top of a burger and make it almost too big to hold. That's how you know you did it right.
Here is the recipe to get these fried onion rings
1 fresh red onion, cut across into large circles, separate the parts! 1 cup of seasoned fried mix 3 tablespoons of water 2 cups of olive oil
1. Combine the mix, follow directions on package 2. Dip the separated parts into the mix and fry
These Amazing Seasoned Onion Rings probably won't make it to your burger.
Building a better burger, for me, also requires some sharp cheese for a deep taste and some steak sauce for bite and to dip your burger in on the plate.
