This "Chorum" was positively delightful!
I had never heard of a Chorum before. So I honestly had to look it up. After a bit of research I discovered that a Chorum is the singular word for Chorus. So Chorum the wine is a mixture or a bringing together of several white wines.
According to the winemaker, Matt Ortman:
“The Chorum White is a blend if Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Albariño."
Approximately 64 percent Roussanne, approx 12 percent Grenache Blanc, 12 percent Sauvignon Blanc, 9 percent Pinot Grigio and 3 percent Albariño. I must say that it is a special white wine, it is a mixture of sweetness and a crisp peach!
I am traditionally a red wine drinker so a white wine needs to really be GOOD for me to dig it. But I have to admit that this wine is on the list of wines that made me smile. ...and I try lots of wines, but this one I really dug! Outside of the neat name and the fact that I had never actually heard of a Chorum White Wine I loved the rich taste that paired perfectly with my gourmet fried chicken!
The Chorum White Wine smells amazing and goes down nice and smooth!
I encourage you to check this wine out...and I LOVE that this is a twist top which makes it perfectly picnic friendly!
