5 Easy Ways to Keep Protein in Your Diet Over the Holidays! #LoveV8Protein

It is a rainy day and I am contemplating weather or not I should be unCalifornia and risk getting wet while getting my much needed and deserved workout on. Of course I will workout (in the house) but one thing that I do not contemplate is weather or not I have my all important V8 Protein Shake. I am always in the health and beauty aisle at Walmart stalking what's new and fabulous and of course I found the awesome V8 line of products!  Now I #LoveV8Protein.

Of course I am always on the lookout for something to keep me FIT and FINE!...and I find V8 Protein Bars!

I really dig V8 Protein shakes because they have all of the healthy ingredients that we are always trying to get in like:

  • Soy
  • Brown Rice
  • Quinoa
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Carrots


And instead of artificial sweetners V8 Protein shakes and protein bars are sweetened naturally by using:

  • Honey
  • Brown Rice Syrup
  • Pure Sugar


I also love that there is variety with 6 flavors so that keeping it healthy can keep you excited.

Keeping my protein up and my carbs down is NOT easy at this time of the year, but if you have tasty and healthy choices that you can make...it does not have to be hard.  

Here are some quick tips that I use to keep my health regimen at the top of my mind...after all being healthy is part of being beautiful and we gotta do that!

1. Don't take your Health Tracker or Pedometer off!  

I know that its easy to just eat whatever, not move AND drop your Fitness Tracker off by the side of the bed for New Years, but dont!


2. Drink Clean Too!

Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning to cleanse your palate.  This will help you to not feel so famished and reach for bad breakfast options and instead choose your V8 protein shake!


3. Get Rid of Your Muffin Top by Replacing Your Muffin!

When you have your morning coffee drink it Black to avoid all of the extra sugar and have a V8 Protein Bar along with it instead of having a muffin or some other type of morning pastry!  You can also take both on the go as you are on your way to the gym!  The protein bars are neat little indulgences that you need everyday!

4. Be Protein Prepared!

Always keep a V8 protein bar in your purse so that you can avoid the urge to hit the fast food joints especially when holiday shopping or just rushing after a long day of work!


5. Take V8 to BED!
